A poster design for a magazine adverstising a cultural tour to Estonia and a seminar titled “How does Estonia work?”
The client was organizing a cultural tour to Estonia and they asked me to design them a poster to advertise it in their quarterly magazine for Finnish readers.
The event consisted of a cultural program in Tallinn and a seminar titled “How does Estonia work?” featuring discussions on different aspects of Estonian society.
They asked for a simple solution and provided me some copy and a photo of a silhouette of Tallinn to be used on the background.
Inspired by the title I instead proposed to create a hand drawn quasi-caricature style poster featuring an investigative scene as if taken from a famous detective story where a (Finnish) couple has come to explore Estonia that has taken a form of an anthill.
