An ad campaign design featuring a poster art for an opera gala celebrating the International Music Day and a concert for a Mother’s Day

This was a relatively extensive ad campaign that I designed for Viro-instituutti in Finland for an opera gala event celebrating the International Music Day.

At the core of it was this poster art that I had a free liberty to design however I saw fit. The only source material I was provided with was an unpretentious photo of the building where the event took place, a former steam turbine electrical power plant that were now housing several organizations promoting Estonian culture in Finland. Inspired by the history I drew this power plant up as a vector art and made it to produce music, instead of electricy.

The final poster piece was printed in different sizes from A5 to A1  and showcased throughout Helsinki. In addition to that I made a host of other iterations of the same design adapted for different formats, like flyers, invitations, web banners, a site header, etc.

In a slightly modified version and colors, the client decided to run the very same concept one more time in the following spring for another concert dedicated to the Mother’s Day at the same place.
